Mingoes five-game winning streak snapped by Aces
It was a long day for the University of The Bahamas as their five-game winning streak was snapped in a three-set loss to the Aces in the New Providence Volleyball Association (NPVA) action on Sunday.
UB fell 25-21; 26-24; and 25-12.
It was a strong start or UB in the first set leading 13-9 in the first set. The Aces started to creep up and cut th elead to 16-15. UB trailed 22-21 and never scored again to fall 25-21.
It looked like UB regrouped as they took the early 8-0 lead in the second set. However, Aces pushed back and won the set 26-24.
UB trailed 8-7 early in the third set but did get closer as Aces went up 16-7. UB dropped the set 25-12 to give the Aces the upset.
Next up for UB is a matchup against the Set-sy Poppers at 7.30 on Wednesday, March 11 at D.W. Davis Gym.
