Mingoes suffer first loss in BMSL

Two very early goals were not enough for the University of The Bahamas men's soccer team as they fell 4-2 to United F.C. for their first loss in the Bahamas Men's Soccer League season action on Sunday at the Roscow A.L. Davies Soccer Fields.

Clerdjivensky Clerjuste scored in the fifth minute to put UB up 1-0. Mider Dalmasse connected on a loose ball on a corner kick to get it past United's goalkeeper and former UB goalkeeper, Julio Jemison to put UB up 2-0 in the 7th minute.

UB had clear cut chances but they were unable to finish it. United scored three quick goals in an eighth-minute span to go up 3-2 at the half.

The second half saw UB pressuring United but they were unable to put any of their chances away. United scored in the 76th minute to take the 4-2 lead.

UB was unable to score as United handed them their first loss of the season with a 4-2 scoreline.

The road gets tougher for UB as they take on fourth place Dynamos F.C. at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 15 at the Roscow A.L. Davies Soccer Fields.
