Mingoes compete in Cleve’s Helpers Charity Golf Tournament

The University of The Bahamas men and women's teams were in action at the Cleve Helper's Charity Golf tournament at the Royal Blue Golf Course on Sunday, March 29.
Head coach, Fred Taylor said the team performed well.
"From the scores I saw, they're on their way," Taylor said. "From the work we've been putting in from August, a lot of these players are new, so from where they started to where they are now, the future is bright with UB Golf."
Travis Cartwright and Rachel Quant combined for a gross score of 89 18 over-par to finish 19th overall.
"It is not only good for us to participate but to practice what we preach," Cartwright said. "It was good to participate and build some experience but to practice what we preach but we also get to help the community out as well."
Quant said: "I was bombing those drives," Quant said. "My longest drive is about 275 yards which is a huge improvement. Travis and I played well and it was a nice experience and it have been a while since we played together two years. We had minor issues but overall, we played very well and we had an awesome round."
