Mingoes bounce back to take out Crimestoppers

The Mingoes behind 28 points from Jerehemiah Miller took out the RBPF Crime Stoppers 99-95 in Game 3 of the UB showcase Thursday at The Kendal Issacs Gym.

Miller led the Mingoes with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Evan Hanna scored 16 points and 2 rebounds to lead the team. Guard Erquantae Edgecombe scored 13 points and Theodore Grant scored 12 points in the win.

Hanna said that overall it was a great game minus a few hiccups.

"We could've been better defensively but I'm just happy we came out with a win," he said.

Miller said this win was vital to the team considering the close loss last game.

"After last week we had to execute our plays and come back stronger for the win," he added.

For the Crime Stoppers, Kirkwood Farrington led all scorers with 47 points and 6 rebounds and Veno Acreus scored 15 points and 3 rebounds.
