Bio
Born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas, Sasha has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 2012. Sasha earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a Minor in Liberal Arts from the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma in 2009. While at USAO, she was a shooting guard for the women’s basketball team. She later furthered her education, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2012. She became a NATA Board Certified Athletic Trainer in May of the same year. During her time in the state of Oklahoma, Sasha has contributed her knowledge and expertise to Valir Physical Therapy Clinic, having the privilege to work with the U.S. Olympic Men’s and Women’s Rowing teams. She also served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Central Oklahoma, primarily working with the Men’s Basketball, Football, and Women’s Volleyball teams.
Sasha is currently the Head Athletic Trainer at The University of the Bahamas—primarily responsible for Men’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer, and Golf.
Representing the Bahamas on several national teams, including the Junior and Senior Women’s Basketball teams and the recipient of the gold medal for Discus Throw at the Carifta Games in 2003, Sasha has the passion and drive for sports medicine and performance.
Sasha has also contributed her expertise to the Men’s & Women’s Bahamas National Basketball teams, Bahamas National Men’s Soccer team, Oklahoma Memorial Marathon, World Sitting Volleyball Championships, Red Man Triathlon, and the Endeavor Games, a sporting event held for paraplegics. Sasha is a proud supporting member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).
